Laura Jean Dreesman, age 69, of Cedar Falls, Iowa died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Richardson Funeral Service with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. There will be visitation for an hour before services at the funeral home.

Laura L. Dreesman was born December 20, 1946 in Decorah, Iowa, daughter of Osmund and Eunice (Seeley) Larson. She graduated from the Waukon, Iowa High School in 1965 and earned her BA degree in American History from Wartburg College in 1969. Laura married Bernard Dreesman on July 31, 1971 at the Glenwood Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa. He died on July 9, 2016. She was employed in sales at Black's Department Store, Younkers, and then Maggie's Children's Clothing Store in downtown Cedar Falls.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Tina (Duane) Kitchen of Cherry Valley, Illinois; two sisters, Deborah (David) Catron of Orlando, Florida, and Diane (Steve) Guberud of Spring Grove, Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Dori (Larry) Ressler of Waterloo, Iowa, and a brother-in-law Ronald Dreesman of Solon, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Connie Dreesman.
