Brought Here for Burial.
The remains of Mr. E. E. Fawcett, was brought to Decorah from Cresco for interment on Saturday last. Mr. F. was a resident in Decorah—a photographer by occupation—a dozen or so years ago, during which time he married Amy Spencer, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Spencer. Since then he has lived at Winona and LaCrosse; and only last month located at Cresco, and engaged in business. His health has been somewhat infirm for two years past, but no apprehension existed of immediate danger, and his last illness was brief and rapid in its progress. Funeral services were held at Cresco, and the remains were brought immediately to Decorah Cemetery and burled in the Spencer family lot. He was about 36 years old, and leaves a wife and one child.

Transcriber's Note: Phelps Cemetery shows he was born in 1861.
