Niels Nilson Bakken, 87, died at the Aase Haugen Home near Decorah Monday. He had been an inmate there for several years, and was ill for the last two.
Mr. Bakken was a son of Mr. & Mrs. Niels Monson and was born July 14, 1847 in Norway. He immigrated to America 72 years ago. His home was in Clarkfield, Minn. He was unmarried.
Funeral services will be held at the Aase Haugen home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. Otto Schmidt, manager of the home, will officiate and burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
