HANSON - Sunday evening, Jan. 1st, at the residence of her parents in West Decorah, Mrs. MAY BURDICK-HANSON, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Burdick, in her 20th year.

Thus is recorded a sad event that leaves the deepest sorrow in a household where the departed was the ornament and the idol of a happy home. Why she was taken in the vigor of her young womanhood in one of those sad problems human insight cannot solve. May was a bright girl, and in their bereavement the relatives have the sincere sympathy of the community. The funeral services where held at the family residence yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W.F.Pitner. An infant daughter survives her. There were in attendance besides the immediate relatives of the deceased, Mrs T.R.Crandell and John Crandell, of Northwood, Iowa, her aunt and cousin.
