Doris L. McIntire, 84, of Cresco, IA passed away at the Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco, IA on Monday, February 6, 2012. Doris Lou McIntire was born on June 20, 1927 on a farm near Cresco, IA. She was the daughter of Harry and Mattie McIntire. The family moved to Cresco and that is where Doris attended grade school and high school. She attended and graduated from Iowa State Teacher’s College, now known as UNI. In 1950 she began her working career at Northwest Airlines from which she retired in 1982. She moved back to Cresco and for a couple of years ran a furniture finishing business, then retired again. She then began to enjoy the pleasures of retirement. She was preceded in death by her mother, her father, and her brother Jim, who was killed in WWII.

Cemetery:
It was Doris’s wishes to be cremated, and her remains laid to rest at a later date at the Kendallville-Eddy Cemetery in rural Cresco, IA.
