Mrs. Hannah Daly passed away Tuesday afternoon at her home in Cresco as the result of the infirmities of old age following a couple of accidents during the past two years. She was about 75 years of age. The funeral took place yesterday morning at the Church of the Assumption with interment in St. Kearn's cemetery.

Mrs. Hannah Daly departed this life the 21st day of Sept. 1914, in Cresco, Iowa, where she had been residing fourteen years prior to her death. She was born in Galway, Ireland, eighty two years ago and immigrated to the United States in the year 1850. After spending a few years in New York City, and in Wheeling, West Virginia, she came west to Chicago. In July, 1858, she was united in marriage with the late John J. Daly at Lyons, la., and with her husband lived a short time in Fulton, III. In 1862 Mr. and Mrs. Daly joined the pioneers of Iowa and purchased a farm in Winneshiek county near Cresco. On this farm they lived and prospered thirty-seven years. Mr. Daly passed to his reward in the spring of 1899. To them were born five daughters and five sons, four of whom survive.
The funeral was conducted by Father Thomas Murtagh in the Church of the Assumption and the remains were laid to rest in St. Kearn’s cemetery on the morning of Sept. 24th.
Mrs. Daly leaves to mourn two daughters, Mary C. Daly, and Mrs. J. Barrett, two sons John J. Daly and Wm. J. Daly, and twenty-two grandchildren.
