David A. Stortz, age 70, of Fayette, IA and formerly of Decorah, IA, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point, Iowa.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. Inurnment will be in St. Benedict Cemetery in Decorah with Full Military Honors.

Friends may visit with the family beginning at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, one hour before the service, at Fjelstul Funeral Home.

David is survived by his sister, Alana (Dan) Harbeck of Idaho Springs, Colorado; his brother, L. Edward Stortz of Loveland, Colorado; his niece Brenna Harbeck; his nephews, Tim (Kirsten) Harbeck and Jamin (Sharon) Stortz; his great nieces: Taryn, Olivia, Halie, Regan and Ava Harbeck, and Olivia Stortz; and his great nephew Grant Stortz.
