Robert L. Jensen, 62, died Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah.

Robert Lee Jensen was born July 24, 1954, son of Harold and Arlene (Ollendick) Jensen, in Neligh, Neb.

Bob graduated from Riceville High School in 1973. He enlisted in the Navy and served with the Seabees, stationed in both Rota, Spain and Diego Garcia.
He worked construction and for the last 25-plus years was at Bruening Rock Products.

He enjoyed gardening, trains, camping, fishing, old time country music, watching old westerns and his ’57 Chevy. He also loved Serena, his cat!

He is survived by his wife, Jan Walton, Decorah; mother, Arlene Jensen, Austin, Minn.; brother, Harry (Deb) Jensen, Riceville; sisters: Patty Jones, Mt. Home, Idaho; Jolene (Cliff) Knowles, Des Moines; Barb (Darrell) Kraft, Austin, Minn.; brother-in-law, John Walton, Minneapolis, Minn.; two step-daughters, Alysse Dawson, Kingston, Tenn. and Bridget Thomas, Eagleville, Tenn.; many cousins, nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Harold Jensen; sister, Donna Lewis; father-in-law, Thomas Walton; mother-in-law, Bernice Walton; sister-in-law, Judy Knowles.
