Donald Rudolph, age 94, of Arlington, TX, died on Saturday, January 28, 2017, in Arlington, TX.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Washington Prairie Lutheran Church at 1725 Washington Prairie Rd. rural Decorah. Rev. Jenny Edinger will preside He will be laid to rest beside loving wife at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m., Monday, at the Washington Prairie Lutheran Church

Donald Earl Rudolph, husband of Lucile Winger Rudolph, passed away at Arlington Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lucile, his parents Earl and Mabel Rudolph, and his only brother and wife, Verne and Dorothy Rudolph. He will be greatly missed by his sons, Robert of Houston, TX, Jon of Pantego, TX, and daughter and her husband, Vicki and Paul Williams of Houston, TX, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Don was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on January 30, 1922 to Mabel and Earl Rudolph, the second son in a family that had been there since the earliest years of the town. His early childhood years were spent in Antigo where he excelled in tennis and golf and worked in the family’s general store. While attending college at the University of Minnesota he enlisted in the Civil Service during WWII and served throughout the war years. Don married Lucile Winger March 5, 1950 in Minneapolis. Coming back to Minnesota, he began his career with Sears, Roebuck, and Co., working in Minneapolis, MN, Oshkosh, WI, and Lawton, OK before beginning new careers in the investments and chemical industries in Oklahoma and Texas.
