Peard, Napoleon 1858 - 1911

The body of Napoleon Peard was brought to Decorah on July 8th, from Enid, Oklahoma, he having passed away in that city on July 6th from Brights disease. The funeral was held at the home of his brother-in-law, James Donald of Canton, Minn., with interment in Burr Oak cemetery. Before going to Oklahoma, Mr. Peard was for several years a resident of Decorah having been associated with Mr. Reeves in buying stock. He leaves one son, Roger W. Peard.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fessenden were called to Burr Oak yesterday to attend the funeral of a distant relative. Mr. Peard, who passed away very suddenly at his home at Enid, Oklahoma. Mr. Peard has frequently visited in Cresco at the Fessenden home.
