Services held tor Daniel Blaess, 25
Funeral services for Daniel Blaess of Hiawatha were held Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Parish Assumption Church. The Rev. Michael Tauke officiated. Interment was in the Burr Oak Cemetery at Burr Oak. Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Daniel, 25, died Saturday, April 12, 2000 in Hiawatha.

Daniel Blaess was born September 16, 1974 in Portland, OR, the son of Lawrence and Beverly (Blaess) Sutton. He graduated from Crestwood High School and continued on to graduate from chefs school. He was currently working for Quality Chef Foods in Cedar Rapids.

On June 10, 1995 he married Jody Heisdorffer at St. Peter and Paul’s Church at Harper.

Survivors include his wife Jody, a daughter Ashley, both of Hiawatha; his mother, Beverly Blaess of West Union; his father, Lawrence Sutton of Portland, OR; and two brothers: Douglas Blaess of Fredericksburg and Dustin Winsell of Protivin.
