Rudolph “Rudy” B. Remmen, age 95, of Decorah, IA, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Wellington Place in Decorah.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Decorah, Iowa. Pastor April Ulring Larson will officiate. Burial will be in Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah and at the church one hour before the service on Friday.

He is survived by his three sons: Gary (Anna Mae) Remmen of Ft. Atkinson, IA, Wayne (Becky) Remmen of Decorah, IA, and Craig (friend, Terry Goepel) Remmen of Mason City, IA; three granddaughters: Annette Walter of Calmar, IA, Wendy (Brian) Leuenberger of Ft. Atkinson, IA, and Megan (Dillon) McArdle of LaCrosse, WI; six great grandchildren: Kayla and Kaitlin Walter, Laney, Kannon and Kamryn Leuenberger, and Miles McArdle. He is also survived by one brother, Glenn (Ruth) Remmen of Decorah, IA and by nieces and nephews.
