Decorah- Clair Palmer, 76, died Monday at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at French and Balik Funeral Home, where there will be a rosary recited at 4 p.m. and a Scripture service at 8 p.m.

Surviving are his wife, Viola; four sons, Daryl and Kevin, both of East Olympia, Wash., James of Castalia and Harlan of Decorah; four daughters, Mary Ellen Farley of Waukon, Linda Johnson of Decorah, and Sharon Hageman and Lois Matter, both of Postville; and a brother, Burdette Palmer of Millsboro, Del.
