DIED IN CHICAGO HOSPITAL

Special to the Times Journal:
Festina, Ia., Nov. 23. – Fred Rubly, father of Rev. A. J. Rubly, of Festina, Ia., with whom with whom he has been staying for three years, died at the German American Hospital at Chicago on Saturday. Mr. Rubly was ill for one week, suffering from a complication of diseases, and on Tuesday last, was taken to Chicago to undergo an operation lingering until Saturday. He was born in the state of Pennsylvania May 14, 1846, moved to Iowa in the vicinity of New Vienna in the early fifties, and then to Petersburg, where he conducted the post office for thirty years, and held various political offices up to 1905, when he moved to Festina, Ia. He leaves his mother at Dyersville, his wife and six children, Rev. A. J., J. B., Edward, Albert, Fred, and Mrs. B. H. Deutmeyer, five brothers and two sisters. Funeral will be held at Festina on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.
