Decorah- Orin B. Gilbertson, 74, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 1994, in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., after a lengthy illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday, First Lutheran Church. Burial: St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. Fjelstul Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Clarice; two sons, Karl of Cedar Falls and John of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Anne Gilbertson of Decorah; four step-daughters, Dagny Boebel of North Manchester, Ind., Barbara Schutz of Winona, Minn., Joanne Hexom of San Francisco and Stephanie Conzett of Burlington; a stepson, Steve Hexom of Burlington; two brothers, Vernon and Robert, both of Decorah; and five sisters, Margaret Kruchek and Inez Berge, both of Decorah, Arlene Edde of Sepulveda, Calif., Olive Hotvedt of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Norma Rosendahl of Osage.
