Decorah- Funeral services for Robert J. Relf, 61, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Lutheran church. The Rev. T. A. Hoff, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Phelps cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by the Olson-Iverson Funeral home.
Mr. Relf died at his home at No. 611 Water street, Decorah, Tuesday morning. He had been in failing health for the last three years.
He was a son of the late James T. and Fannie Whittier Relf, and was born in Decorah on Jan. 4, 1884. He lived his entire lifetime in this city.
He started the Princess theater here on Jan. 1, 1914, later moving to the Star (now renamed Grand) theater, and showed movies in this city for 10 years or more. Retiring from the pictures business 20 years ago, he worked for the Pearson Sales company as accountant for three years, until ill health forced his retirement from active work.
On July 23, 1924, he married Lillian L. Rudy, of Decorah, who survives with their only daughter, Jeraldine.
One brother, Roy W. Relf, and a niece, Miss Janice Relf, both of Decorah, are his only other surviving relatives.
