Fort Atkinson- Frank X. Schmitt, 89, died Saturday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital in New Hampton.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; three sons, Leonard and Elmer, both of Fort Atkinson, and Clarence of Marion; three daughters, Mildred Uhlenhake of Ossian, Luella Elsbernd of Spillville, and Elaine Kuennen of Festina; one brother, Joseph of St. Lucas; 30 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, St. John's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Chekal's, where there will be a parish Scripture service at 8 p.m.
