Cleo A. Moser, age 86, of Waterloo, Iowa died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. December 29 at the St. Edward Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, Evansdale, assisted by the U.S. Honor Guard. Visitation was held on Monday December 28 at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Granup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. vigil. Visitation will also be held one hour before the services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the St.Edward School.

Cleo A. Moser was born June 2, 1929 in Festina, Iowa, son of Othmar and Theresa(Moeller) Moser. He attended the St. Francis DeSales High School in Ossian, Iowa and then Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and then attended the University of Iowa. He was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, Rath Packing Plant, Chamberlain Manufacturing and Hinson Manufacturing. After retirement he worked at Community Services Building as a janitor and was a crossing guard for the St. Edward School. Cleo loved baseball, football, and was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Cleo is survived by his brother Urban (Rose) Moser of Oelwein, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters Ursula Dumer, Germain Dirr, and Dolores Lynch.
