Rosemary Rosendahl, age 83, of Ridgeway, IA, died on Monday, October 19, 2015, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015, at Peace Lutheran Church, 745 County Street, Ridgeway, IA, with Rev. Jeff Hansen presiding. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery, Ridgeway, IA.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, IA, and also after 9:30 a.m., at the church on Friday morning.

The family suggests that memorials may be given in memory of Rosemary to the Peace Lutheran Church, 745 County Street, Ridgeway, IA, 52165, or to the Aase Haugen Senior Services, 4 Ohio Street, Decorah, IA, 52101.

Rosemary is survived by her two daughters: Roxann Brown, Denver, IA and Kris (Jim) Lynch, Decorah, IA. Five grandchildren: Nathaniel Knut (Molly) Brown, Spencer, IA, Emily Lynch, Rochester, MN, Abby (Drew) Sears, Cedar Falls, IA, Andrew (fiancé Emily Zeien) Brown, Denver, IA, Molly Lynch, Independence, IA. Three great grandchildren: Hallie and Maia Brown and Livia Sears. One sister: Beverly (Charlie Miller) Bakken, Cresco, IA. One sister-in-law: Carol (Sonny) Harland, Harmony, MN. One brother-in-law: Dennis (Sue) Rosendahl, Phoenix, AZ, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents: Oran and Aleda (Hovden)Hove. Her husband: Lyle Rosendahl on May 21, 2009. One daughter: Kathrine Aleda Rosendahl on August 21, 1959. One son-in-law: Larry Brown on April 29, 2008. Her father and mother-in-law: Olger and Rose Rosendahl. Two brothers-in-law: Gordon Rosendahl and John Bakken.
