Cheryl R. Holt, 68, of Oelwein, Iowa and formerly of La Crosse, Wisconsin died Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2015 at Unity Point – Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Cheryl Rae Holt was born June 4, 1946 in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond Elmer and Ruth Ellen (Black) Holt. In 1964 she graduated from Oregon City High School in Oregon City, Oregon. She was member of the Oelwein American Legion Auxiliary. Cheryl enjoyed traveling, rock collecting, making jewelry, painting, Native American Culture and going to Pow Wows.

Cheryl is survived by her sister, Caron (Jim) Fox of Oelwein; 2 daughters, Cara Holt of La Crosse, Wisconsin and Sandra Mays of Wenatchee, Washington; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lynn Holt.
