Decorah- William A. Ziegelmeyer, 74, died suddenly in a Decorah hospital Friday.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Steine funeral home at 2 p.m. and burial was made in Phelps cemetery. The Rev. Floyd H. Weed officiated.

Ziegelmeyer was born April 4, 1876, in McGregor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Ziegelmeyer. The family came to Decorah in 1876, and he has lived here since. On Aug. 9, 1915, at Austin, Minn., he married Lucille Estey.

Surviving are his wife and the following children: Chester, William Jr., and Marvin Ziegelmeyer, Decorah; Mrs. Al Broys, Long Beach, Calif.; and Arthur and Mrs. Raymond Sharp, Minneapolis. He is also survived by his brother, Fred, Decorah, and his sisters Mrs. Lena Ripping, Waterloo, and Anna Ziegelmeyer, Kansas City, Mo.
