Decorah- At her home in Decorah, Wednesday evening, Mrs. August Moen, 84, died of the infirmities of age.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. R. A. Ofstedal Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran church and burial will be at the Lutheran cemetery.
Karen Selsvold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Knut Selsvold, was born Sept. 30, 1866, in Winneshiek county, where she lived all her life. On April 21, 1889, she married August Moen, who died in 1938.
Her surviving children are Mrs. Leonard Williams, Mrs. Norman Nelson, Gerald Moen, Mrs. Oscar Halverson, Olaf and Palma Moen, all of Decorah, Lionel Moen of Waukon. Three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Johnson, Chicago; Mrs. Oscar Haugen, Lemmon, S.D., and Mrs. Ben Halverson, Minneapolis, also survive.
