Decorah- Funeral services for Thomas K. Hovey, 70, lifelong resident of Winneshiek county, were held Wednesday at the Winneshiek Funeral home at 1:30 p.m. and at First Lutheran church at 2 p.m. The Rev. B. A. Johnson officiated and burial was in Union Prairie cemetery.

Hovey, ill for two years, died at a Decorah hospital Sunday evening. He was born Aug. 3, 1870, in Decorah township, son of Mr. and Mrs. Knute Hovey. On June 6, 1898, he married Julette Seim, who died in 1903. In November, 1919, in Minneapolis, he married Johanna Iverson, who died in 1933. His surviving children are Clarence, Ingolf and Walter of Decorah, and Mrs. Sylvia Folson of Huntington Park, Calif.
