Decorah- Edwin Ostenson, 85, died Monday, April 17, at his home in Decorah, from a cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Decorah Lutheran Church, the Rev. M. A. Egge officiating, and burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery. The Olson-Iverson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ostenson was born Sept. 19, 1864, in Canoe township, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambjer Ostenson, early pioneers. He was educated in rural schools. On June 30, 1896, he married Louise Peterson, who preceded him in death. Surviving are three children, Mrs. L. T. Benedict, Charles City; Lloyd A. Ostenson and Mrs. Paul Schneider, Decorah. He is also survived by two sisters, Lizzie Severson, Canoe township, and Mrs. Alvin Barth, Decorah.
