Postville Herald, Thur., 16 Feb. 1928.

Angenette Allen was born in Bloomfield township, Winneshiek county, Iowa, March 24, 1859, on her father's farm, and passed away at her home in Frankville, Sunday morning, Feb. 5, 1926, at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was the daughter of Stephen and Mariette Allen and was one of a family of eleven children. She was married to James G. Kneeskern, March 15, 1876. Six children blessed their union - William L., of Frankville; Freddie, who died at the age of one year; Ruby, Mrs. Dean Flower of Oelwein; LeRoy, Ida L., Mrs. Thomas Bollman, and James E., all of Frankville. Besides her husband and children, twelve grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. M. Green of Castalia and Mrs. Joe Weitgenant of Ossian, and one brother, Irvin Allen of Postville, remain to cherish her memory.

Mrs. Kneeskern has lived all her life in Winneshiek county and is held in sincere esteem and affection by a large circle of friends. Her life was lived in her home and family and her greatest pleasure was in doing for those near and dear to her, although she was always ready and willing to help those outside the family circle. About a year and a half ago she sustained a stroke of paralysis from which she never fully recovered, but during that time her family repaid her devotion by doing all in their power to make her days bright and cheerful. To Mr. and Mrs. Kneeskern was given the privilege that comes to so few, that of celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, March 15, 1926, with all their children and grandchildren present. A kind and loving wife and mother, a good neighbor and friend is gone. She will be greatly missed in the community of which she has so long been a part.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. O. Bethel at the Community church, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, and interment was made in the village cemetery.

Relatives and friends from away who attended the funeral were Dean Flower and family of Oelwein, Newt. Schoonmaker of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Allen of Postville, Mrs. Steve Allen of Mason City, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rosa of Ossian, J. H. Kneeskern, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Green and Clarence, Mrs. M.
