JOHN THOMAS EWING
John Ewing Services Held WednesdayFuneral services were conducted at the Community church here on Wednesday afternoon for John Ewing, who passed away Sunday, January 24, 1943. Rev. Sinning officiated.
"Beautiful Isle of Somewhere", "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Going Down the Valley" were sung by Virgean Letchford and Betty Kneeskern.
Relatives attending from away were: Mr. and Mrs. John Snitker and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Snitker of near Decorah; Mr. and Mrs. Loren Snitker of Lansing; Emmett Stevens of Centennial; Lafe Ewing, Charles Hoth, Clarence Hoth, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Folsom, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schutta and Mrs. Dean Hammel, all of Postville; Mrs. Austin Folsom and Charles Davis of Waukon; Egbert Ewing and daughter, Violet, of near Rossville.
The pallbearers were Arthur and Walter Brandt, Walter Pilgrim, Otto Hughes, E. R. Birdsell and Thomas Bollman. Burial was made in the Frankville cemetery.
