Decorah- Viola Olson Swingle, 89, died in the Aase Haugen Nursing Home after a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Burial: Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, Colo. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at French & Balik Funeral Home, Decorah, and Tuesday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until services.

Survivors include a brother, Vernon Olson; and five sisters, Agnes Gilson of Elgin, Irene Sersland of Decorah, Florence Ode of Covina, Calif., Myrtle Graham of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Stella Mitchell of Wickenberg, Ariz.
