Decorah- Ray E. Rucker, 60, died Monday in Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Services; 1 p.m. Thursday, Washington Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Decorah. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Fjelstul Funeral Home, where there will be a VFW memorial service at 7:30 p.m., and one hour before service time Thursday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Verda; two sons, Don of Plano, Texas, and Steve of Maple Grove, Minn.; two daughters, Julie Munkel of Decorah and Mary Hill of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Roland of Key West, Fla.; and two sisters, Ellen Zimmerman of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Doris Rucker of Oklahoma City, Okla.
