MRS. FRED E. (Stella Mae Crawford) WATERS

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred E. Waters of Postville, who died at her home Saturday morning were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o'clock at the Frankville Community church with Rev. W. T. Martin of Postville officiating. Mrs. W. T. Martin sang two hymns, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Leslie Laterman.

Stella Mae Crawford Waters, daughter of Thomas J. and Helen Cavin Crawford, was born in Frankville township, Winneshiek Count, June 16, 1888, and passed away on Saturday morning at 5:00 o'clock at her home in Frankville, at the age of 62 years following a sudden heart attack.

She was married to Fred E. Waters, also of Frankville, at her home on December 8, 1915, and to this union two sons were born, Keith C. Waters of Frankville and a son who died at infancy. Their entire married life was spent at Frankville.

The deceased was a member of the Frankville Community Presbyterian Church, having served as pianist for the church since she was ten years old, and served in that capacity until a few years preceding her death. Also, she was an active member of the Willing Workers Society. She attended school at Frankville, Valder's College at Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Waters was a music teacher, and continued serving her pupils both before and after her marriage. Her life was a life of service to her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Keith and wife, and two grandson, Roger and Harry of Frankville. Also three brothers, Irving Crawford and Lynn Crawford of Frankville, and Charles Crawford, of Beatrice, Nebraska. Also an aunt, Mrs. D. C. Killam, of Sanborn.

Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crawford and Joyce, of Beatrice, Nebraska; Charles Crawford, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Kenneth Schmidt and daughters of Grand Island, Nebraska, Mr. and Mrs. John Stock, and Marian, and Mrs. Don Pendelton, of Sioux City, Mr. B. W. Jeglum, and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Avis of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Jeglum, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Albeck, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Roggensack of Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Killam of Sanborn, Callie Waters, and Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Waters, and Mrs. Emma Waters, of Austin, Minnesota.

Burial was in the Frankville cemetery.
