ADELLE NESHEIM, 84, of Des Moines, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services are at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Hauge Lutheran Church, 3147 Middle Hesper Road, Decorah, with Rev. Nancy Solomonson presiding. Burial is in the Washington Prairie Cemetery, rural Decorah.

Adelle Nesheim, age 84, of Des Moines, IA, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Hauge Lutheran Church, 3147 Middle Hesper Road, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Nancy Solomonson presiding. Burial will be in the Washington Prairie Cemetery, rural Decorah, IA.
Adelle was born October 29, 1930 in Decorah, IA to Adolph T. and Alma (Langoos) Amundson. Her life was dedicated to her husband, Kenneth H. Nesheim, nine children and their families. Kenneth and Adelle were married in Decorah in 1948; they worked together in farming and a successful motel business for most of their working lives. Adelle was a caring, happy, optimistic, Godly woman and truly enjoyed her family, being active, the outdoors, nature, and caring for her yard.
Survivors include five daughters and four sons: Dennis (spouse Lavonne) Nesheim of Lakewood, CO; Jan (Paul) Tollefson of Minnesota City, MN; Sherry (Roy) Palmer of Parker, CO; Carol (Jerry) Brubaker of Altoona, IA; Denise (Bob) Davidson of Littleton, CO; Kenneth (Denise) Nesheim of Norwalk, IA; Leann (Joe) Riding of Altoona, IA; Andrew (Joelle Whinnery) Nesheim of Colorado Springs, CO; and David (Anita) Nesheim of Altoona, IA. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Nicole (Cory) Corcoran, Jonathan (Kelly) Tollefson, Nick and Michelle Palmer, Todd (Abby) and Christopher Brubaker, Amber (Cary Hendricks) and Andrea Davidson, Skyler (Jessica) and Dustin (Zijada) and Kelsey Nesheim, Stephanie (Josh King) Riding, Kristin (Josh) Coffman, Olivia and Erica Nesheim, Luke and Emily Nesheim, and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister, Marlene, of Tucson, AZ.
