Decorah- George W. Rude, 68, died Tuesday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Iowa City, after a long illness. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Big Canoe Lutheran Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at French & Balik Funeral Home and one hour before service time Friday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a brother, Allen of Concord, N.C.; and three sisters, Hildegard Ramsey of Decorah and Joan Norahe and Thelma Rude, both of Waterloo.
