Priscilla S. Thompson, age 79 of Decorah, died Tuesday evening, November 25, 2014 at Green Lea Manor in Mabel, MN.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Decorah with Rev. Richard Simon Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah.

Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30 at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah, and on Monday beginning at 10:00 A.M., one hour before the service, at First Lutheran Church.

Priscilla (Sherburne) Thompson was born April 4, 1935 at home in rural Mabel, Minnesota, the daughter of Merten and Fannie (Watkins) Sherburne. She was baptized and confirmed at United Methodist Church in Mabel, and she graduated from Mabel High School.

Priscilla was united in marriage to Dale Wesley Thompson on December 26, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa. They were blessed with three sons: Davis, Brian and Joel.

She worked at Luther College in Food Service and then at Deco Products for over 30 years. Priscilla liked to cook and bake, go dancing, garden, the outdoors, being outside and going on walks, liked to travel, loved the Nordic Fest, her cats and dogs, and especially loved her grandchildren, their activities and their families. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and active in circle.

Priscilla became a resident of Green Lea Manor in Mabel, MN on December 12, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dale on July 1, 1987; one son, Davis on March 14, 1982; and her siblings: Francis Gorham, Myrtle Odegarden, Alma Sherburne, Nola Newman, Helen Eide, Darol Sherburne, Neva Opsahl, Marvin Sherburne and Zelda Sagdalen.

Priscilla is survived by two sons, Brian (Myra Howland) Thompson of McIntire, IA and Joel (Janet) Thompson of Decorah; one daughter-in-law, Dawn (Junior) Erickson of Decorah; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Milton Sherburne of St. Paul, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
