Calmar- Hazel Erland, 88, of Calmar, died Monday, Aug 25, 2003, in Greenlea Manor, Mabel, Minn., following a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Calmar Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Norman Bauer. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, French Chapel, Calmar, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Survivors include a daughter, June Halvorson of Decorah; and two sisters, Ilene Anderson of Chatfield, Minn., and Bette Eide of Rushford, Minn.
