Decorah- Helen L. Heier, 68, died of cancer Saturday in La Crosse, Wis., Lutheran Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice; two daughters, Karolyn Abbott of Decorah and Elizabeth Knepp of Mount Clemens, Mich.; two sons, Maurice Jr. of Kendrick, Idaho, and Michael of Decorah; two brothers, Raymond Severide of Decorah and Arnold Severide of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Adeline Amdahl of Mabel, Minn., Beatrice Tilleros of Hesper and Thelma Espeseth of Madison; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Canoe Ridge Lutheran Church, rural Decorah. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Fjelstul's and one hour before service time Wednesday in the church.
