Conduct Services For Leora Ambrose

Funeral services were conducted at the Schutte Funeral Home, Postville, at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 for Leora May Ambrose, who died June 9 in the Decorah Retirement Center, Decorah. The Rev. Keith Kensinger officiated.

Mrs. Ambrose was the daughter of Thomas R. and Emma Cresy Letchford. She was born February 16, 1894 in Winneshiek County. She was graduated from Postville High School in 1923. On December 26, 1925 she was united in marriage to Fenimore Ambrose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Vern and Glen Letchford and a sister Mrs. Ray (Mabel) Waters.

Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Lester Van Wey of Postville and Mrs. H. L. Sanderson of El Paso, Texas; six grand-nephews and nieces and five great-grand-nephews and nieces.

Burial was in the Frankville Cemetery.
