Calmar- Fred Houdek, 84, a retired express agent for the Milwaukee Railroad, died Friday morning at Winneshiek County Memoriel Hospital in Decorah.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four daughters, Naomi Frana of Calmar, Rosemary Groux of Reston, Va., Germaine Izydorek of Valparaiso, Ind., and Julie Ann Schwemer of Downers Grove, Ill.; a sister, Rose Hinker of Seal Beach, Calif.; a brother, Carl of St. Paul, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at French's, where a parish Scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
