Decorah- Arlin G. Ruffridge, 77, a retired custodian for the Decorah Community Schools, died Tuesday in Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Arlys Malli of Calmar, Norma Barth of Decorah and Mary Jo Natt of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Viola Ruffridge of Postville; 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, First Lutheran Church. Burial: Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Fjelstul's.
