Decorah- An elderly man was found dead outside his home in Highland Township 17 miles northeast of Decorah Friday morning.

The Winneshiek County Sherrif's Department reported that a neighbor found the body of Norris Orlando Larson, 86, at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Larson's mailing address is rural Spring Grove, Minn.

A Winneshiek deputy said the death was believed due to exposure, but an autopsy will be performed.
