Services Friday For Mrs. Morss

Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Morss, 78, who died Tuesday morning, Dec. 15, in the Smith Memorial Hospital, will be held Friday, Dec. 18, at 2 p. m. at the First Congregational Church.

The body will lie in state from 12:30 p. m. to 2 p. m. at the church on Friday.

Rev. Richard Nielsen will conduct the services and Steine Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Phelps Cemetery.

The Decorah chapter of the Order of Eastern Star will be in charge of services at Steine’s Thursday evening, 7 p. m.

Mrs. Juletta Isenberger, Worthy Matron, has announced that all members should be present promptly for the service.

Mrs. Morss was born February 29, 1881, in Dundee, Scotland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hill.

She was married in 1910 to Winfield Butler who died in 1917.

She married Berton B. Morss in 1923 and lived in Minneapolis until 1924 when she came to Decorah.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Willis Cooper of St. Louis, and one son, Van Butler of Decorah.

Also surviving are five grandchildren four great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Joseph Fieldman of California.

Mrs. Morss was a member of the Congregational Church, Order of Eastern Star, and the ladies auxiliary of the VFW, American Legion and Elks.
