Helen Sobolik, 98, of Cresco, Iowa, formerly of Ridgeway, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, Iowa. Helen was born on June 13, 1916 in Winneshiek County to Frank and Mary (Vopava) Sobolik. During the majority of her life she worked in the dietary department at the local hospital. Helen was a very private person and mainly kept to herself but enjoyed spending her time crocheting and reading. She lived in Ridgeway most of her life, until moving into assisted living on her 94th birthday. She continued to live there for 4 years. Then moved into the Cresco Care Center for a very short time. She is survived by her nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, one brother Edward, and one sister Wilma Skretta.

Visitation:
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Service:
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, Iowa.

Cemetery:
Burial will take place at Bohemian National Cemetery in rural Protivin, Iowa.
