Killed With Lightning.

Daniel Scrivens living in Orleans township on the Farnsworth farm near Plymoth{sp} Rock was killed by lightning on Friday morning last about two o'clock. He was stopping with his brother-in-law, Mr. James Arnold, and when the storm was at its height he went into the sitting rom seating himself in a rocking chair near its center. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold came out but soon returned to bed. Almost instantly after the fatal shock came following down the chimney to the chamber floor, and from thence apparently scattering over the lower part of the house, demolishing the bedstead upon which they were lying, and injuring Mr. Scrivens so that he died almost instantly. He was 58 years old and unmarried.
