NEY, SABOE, GROSS, JOHNSON

Ossian, Ia. - Funeral services for Frank D. Ney, 64, retired farmer, who died Friday, following a stroke, were held Monday afternoon at the Lutheran Church. The Rev. V.A. Fiskerbeck, pastor, conducted the services. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Claus Ney, he was born April 4, 1880, on a farm near Festina. At the age of two, he moved with his parents to a farm near Elkader. He received his education in the rural schools of this community. On Feb. 7, 1906, he was united in marriage to Miss Julia Saboe, and they made their home on his farm near Elkader until 1936, when they moved to Ossian, where they have since resided.

He served as a trustee of the Lutheran church for a number of years, and he was a member of the Lutheran brotherhood.

Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Frances) Gross; one son, Milfred Ney; his mother, Mrs. Catherine Ney, of Eldorado; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Saboe, Eldorado, and Mrs. L. Johnson, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; three brothers, Henry, Gustav, and Siegfried, all of the Eldorado vicinity. He was preceded in death by his father and four brothers.
