Obituary,

In Cresco Iowa, May 16th, 1882, at the home of his parents, Ben Baldwin aged 18 years, 4 months and 13 days.

The deceased was the youngest son of E. and H. A. Baldwin, was born in Decorah, was strong and full of life and vigor until overtaken with sickness some five months since, which terminated in consumption hurrying him to an early and untimely grave. Deceased was bright, brave and cool, made friends wherever known for his manly and intrepid character, and was of more than ordinary promise. While he loved life and its pleasures, and was attached to his home, parents and friends he did not fear to die. He was the pride of his parents with whom in this overwhelming calamity all classes unite in mingling the unavailing tears of sympathy with words of sorrow and consolation.
