Mrs. Nettie M. Soeder, 70, of 206 North Street died October 28 at the Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse.

Funeral services were conducted by Pastor D.D. Thogerson, Thursday, Oct. 30 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Locust with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Erickson, Selmer Larson, Truman Kirkeby, Walter Ruffridge, Robert Hjelmeland and Gerhard Hellen.

Mrs. D.D. Thogerson was organist for hymns sung by the congregation. Funeral arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home.

As Nettie M. Narveson, Mrs. Soeder was born September 10, 1905 in Pleasant Township, the daughter of Narve and Mary Narveson. She had lived all of her life in the county and Decorah where she moved to make her home 10 years ago.

She received her education in the rural schools and was a member of St. Johns church in Locust.

She was married May 14, 1936 in Decorah to Arnold W. Soeder. Her husband died May 13, 1960.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Marlene) Tangen of Ossian and four grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
