Iona Finholt, age 95, of Decorah, IA, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Barthell Eastern Star Home in Decorah, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the Decorah Lutheran Church, 309 Winnebago Street, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Bryan Robertson presiding. Burial will be in Phelps Cemetery in the spring.

Friends may call after 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 14, 2013,at the Decorah Lutheran Church. The Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah in charge of arrangements.

Iona is survived by her son: Randall Dean Finholt, Tempe, AZ. One sister: Orbell Hall, Decorah, IA, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Iona was preceded in death by her parents: Bennie and Mary (Sanden) Grindeland. Husband: Ray Finholt. Son: Ronald Lee Finholt and two daughters in infancy. Three brothers: Kenneth (Edna) Grindeland, Berdell Grindeland, and Bennie Grindeland in infancy. One sister: Cleona in infancy. Father and mother-in-law: Helmer and Hattie Finholt. Two brothers-in-law: William Hall and Vern (Helen) Finholt.
