He then worked as an electrician at Homer Laughlin China for 10 years, & finally retired after 8 years as a beloved door-greeter at Sam’s Club in Robinson Center Township, PA.
He was a faithful member of the Virginia Ave. Church of Christ in Chester, WV and served the congregation as a greeter, making people smile for over 20 years. Jack was always committed to community service and helping others. He served as President of the Chester Lions Club, and was named Lion of the Year multiple times. He was a Boy Scout Webelos leader and he served as Vice-President of the Oak Glen Band Boosters in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He performed with the Hancock County Burial Group and Logan’s Raiders and the Lions Club Keystone Cops.
The Board family wishes to thank all who shared Jack’s life and the many kind caregivers with the WMC Hospice, who helped care for him along with his devoted wife. His love, compassion and sense of humor were as big as the man.
