Funeral Services For J. Erickson Held on Sunday
John Erickson, 91, of Canoe Township, died Thursday morning, March 23 at the Aase Haugen Home.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 26 at Big Canoe Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Burial was in Big Canoe Cemetery.
The Rev. William T. Hexom conducted the services and Steine Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Lyle Erickson, Edwin Erickson, Donald Erickson, Earl Erickson, Morris Erickson and Julius Myrah.
Mrs. Hexom was organist and Mrs. Earl Arneson was soloist. The foral committee was comprised of Mrs. Ernest Winger and Mrs. Art Lynne.
Mr. Erickson was born Feb 8, 1870 in Canoe Township, a son of the late Edward and Ingeborg Erickson. He attended the rural schools of the area.
He never married. He lived his entire life in Canoe Township.
He was a member of Big Canoe Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a brother Olias of Canoe Township; and a sister, Mrs. Sam Ellis of Eau Claire, Wis.
Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
