Funeral Services Held Feb. 12 for Mrs. Hjelmeland

Funeral services were held Feb. 12 for Mrs. Barbara Hjelmeland, who died Feb. 8 at the Smith Memorial Hospital. The Rev. J.N. Lunde was in charge of the services held at 2 p.m. at the French Funeral Home at Calmar. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herman Rosendahl, Lester Numedahl, Jerry Benda, James Baburek, David and Richard Flaskerud.

Barbara Benda was born Dec. 4, 1876, at Spillville.

Her husband, three children by a former marriage, and six grandchildren survive.

One sister, Mrs. Dan Novak of Calmar, and two brothers, Ben of Estherville and Frank of Eureka, Montana also survive.
