Charles Pesek, 94, services held July 23

Funeral services for Charles Pesek, 94, were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Schley. The Rev. Allen M. Schmitt officiated with interment in the church cemetery. Conway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He died July 20, 1991, at the Howard County Hospital.

Charles E. Pesek was born June 8, 1897, at Fort Atkinson to Charles and Mary Pesek. He married Mary S. Moudry in Holy Trinity Church on Nov. 14, 1922. They were the parents of three children.

Charles was a farmer until retirement. He was a member of Holy Cross Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Mildred Henkes and a son, Arthur Pesek, both of Cresco; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Gladys Nohale of Protivin.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Robert and two brothers, Will and Ed.
