Jane Eliza Morris was born at Truston, New York, Sept. 25. 1825. At the age of 18 she moved with her parents to Illinois where she lived until her marriage to Jas. B. Schenck in 1850. When they came to make their home in Frankville, Iowa. Her husband died here in 1877 and in 1880 she removed with her children to Humboldt. Iowa. She also made her home in Chicago. Ill., and Junction City, Oregon, for a number of years. Last fall she came from Oregon to Chicago, making the trip alone, to spend the remainder of her days with her daughter Mrs. G. K. Flack, at whose home she passed away Feb. 15, 1917. At the advanced age of 92 years. She was the mother of eight children, six boys and two girls. One son, Fred, and a daughter Lillian have preceded her. Those remaining are Wayne, Theron and Charley at Junction City, Oregon, Melvin at Midway. British Columbia, Judson D. at Estherville, Iowa, and Nellie. Mrs. G. K. Flack of Chicago. She was converted at the age of 12 and for 80 years has been a faithful member of the M. E. church. The remains were brought here Saturday afternoon. Accompanied by Rev. and Mrs. C. K. Flack and interment was made in the Pagin cemetery north of town. J. D. Schenek also came to be present at the burial.
